Several recent updates have been announced regarding BTS members’ activities. RM’s second solo album, titled “Right Place, Wrong Person,” will be released on May 24. Jimin and Jung Kook will appear on an upcoming travel show titled “Are You Sure?!” that will premiere on August 8. Additionally, Jin will be featured on the cover of W Korea’s Volume 7, August 2024 issue.

Other updates include Jin representing South Korea as a torchbearer for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, and V releasing his digital solo single, titled “FRI(END)S.” Jimin will release his second solo album, titled “MUSE,” on July 19. These updates showcase the ongoing activities and projects of BTS members despite their military service.

BTS Members’ Military Service

All seven members of BTS are currently undergoing mandatory military service in South Korea. The process began with Jin, followed by J-Hope and Suga, then RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook. The typical duration of military service in South Korea is 18 months. Management of the band announced last year that BTS would regroup “around 2025.” During their service, members might have opportunities to perform casually for their comrades.

The collective conscription of the band marks the conclusion of a prolonged dialogue in South Korea regarding whether BTS members should have been exempt from mandatory military service. Despite the hiatus, fans remain supportive, eagerly awaiting the group’s reunion.

Jin Completes Military Service

Jin, the eldest member of BTS, has completed his military service. This milestone marks a significant step towards the group’s eventual reunion. BTS fans have been waiting patiently for the members to complete their service, which is expected to be around 2025. Jin’s completion of military service is a promising sign for the band’s future activities.
